Scott grew up in a north suburb of Chicago and knew as early as eighth grade that he wanted to be a photographer. His first pictures were taken with a 110 camera, capturing close-ups of Chicago Cubs players while he was waiting for their autographs. Scott started taking photo classes in high school and received a degree in photography from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. In 1986 he returned to Chicago where he later started Raffe Photography. In 2002 he relocated to Tulsa after working in both St. Louis and Denver.
An award-winning professional photographer, Scott’s work has been recognized with multiple awards from the American Advertising Federation, Art Directors Club and The Dallas Show. His work has hung in several gallery exhibits, alongside the photographs of Diane Arbus, Mary Ellen Mark and Henri-Cartier Bresson.
He lives in Tulsa with his Boston terrier, Billy.
